... BEING THE TEXT OF PRESS RELEASE BY THE LEADERSHIP OF PDP NATIONAL YOUTH MOVEMENT ON THE STATE OF THE PARTY.
PDP National Youth Movement is a youth based political assembly with a mission to maximise youth electoral value and political worth, to turn around the political fortune of Nigeria by mobilizing young innovative people with lofty ideas capable of turning the polity around for the general good of the people of Nigeria.
The movement is targeting mobilization of new members and eligible voters for the return of PDP to power come 2023 General Election.Our major age range is 18-45yrs old.
We are bold to say, that the exit of these named above Governors of Cross River, Ebonyi and Zamfara State is nothing but a blessing to our political party. We are not perturbed by the exit of disloyal , inconsistent and insincere political icons from our fold; their defection is indeed a plus as it creates more space needed for more young people with charisma, content and Geniue drive for development to move into the party.
We call on the Party's National Working Committee to put measures in place including legal frameworks to check mate political prostitutes who uses the PDP platform to get power and jump bolt over the night without any tangible excuse.
As the constitution of the party makes clear, the only reason tenable for defection of any Party Office Holder while holding office under a political party to another one is when there's CRISIS or FACTION .
In the absence of these, we vow to drag the trio to the court of law; their seats must be declared vacant as the mandate belongs to the Party not their respective personalities.
Upon their exit, they must then relinguish the positon for party to determine who next to take charge.
We are optimistic that Nigeria youth will see this as another ample opportunity to take full charge of PDP as disloyal folks in our national polity are already moving to the ruling party APC where they truly belong, the safe heaven of serving and ex-corrupt public office holders and arena of old and archaic politicians.
It is essential young Nigerians consider massive registration with PDP going forward to strengthen our 2023 drive for new hands in government.
