WHY SULE LONGE SHOULD BE IGNORED OVER DISPARAGING STATEMENT ON SOUTH AGENDA ~~Adesua
By Bishop Olumide Adesua
I have watched over and over again with disbelief a certain interview granted by  Barrister Sule Longe, a native of Omuo Oke-Ekiti in Ekiti East Local Government where the supposed elderstateman was sponsored to disparage the collective struggle of the entire people of the South Senatorial District to produce the next Governor of Ekiti state.

Knowingfully well that Mr Sule Longe is my kinsman, I am refrained to engage him in an open confrontation especially in the media, yet, the Yoruba of good origin says that "When the eyes produce a mess the very best to do is to remove the mess and show it to the eyes to know it was wrong."

Also, Yorubas believe that it is only a child of illegimacy that describes his father's house with the left hand. Having pondered on the above illustrations, I have the following resolutions;

1) That politically, history has it that Mr Sule Longe has remained consistently inconsistent.

2) That by that singular interview, a new history of sabotage has been written against Sule Longe.

3) That records already have it that Sule Longe has written off his name including that of his children and his yet unborn generation from being consider for any political position from the south Senatorial District, including Governorship position.

4) That Sule Longe has, by that singular interview, set himself and family against the people of the South Senatorial District who have invested so much energy and resources into ensuring the actualization of their legitimate agitation, inclincluding the monarchs.

5) That the House of Assembly Ticket aspiration of Sule Longe which is the basis for spinning such detritus has become a 'dead on arrival'.

Lastly, I want to encourage the good people of the South Senatorial District not to relent in their genuine pursuit of fielding the next Governor in Ekiti state from the zone, as nothing good comes easily. Now you have seen and know that majority of your enemies are your own People but in the end, victory is sure and the saboteurs will have no place in the good book of history.

Breaking: Olori Naomi Silekunola Ends Marriage To Ooni

Her Majesty Queen Silekunola Naomi has announced an end to her marriage to the Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II.

In a statement posted on her official Instagram handle on Thursday, she wrote;

“I bless the Lord almighty for His faithfulness in the last 3years of my marriage. In life’s journey, it isn’t how far. Still, how well, indeed though satan should buffet if trials should come, I have this blessed assurance controlling all situations and saying to me it is well with my soul. Certainly, it is well. I made my journey into the ancient throne of Ife with faith in my heart and love for the keeper of it.

Few impressions I would love to correct. If anyone knows otherwise, they are free to come up with facts. Let it be known that this decision to move on did not come because his majesty is married to another queen. As many would love to assume, throughout our life as a couple, I was the only married wife to him. There were side attractions, but it was never an issue.

I never approached him with any revelation of any sort, as many believed he contacted me first and made his proposal known several months later.
The marriage was not an arranged one, as many have misconstrued. I never knew the prophetess said to have introduced me to him. Instead, he introduced her to me after I agreed to marry him. I was only being polite out of respect for him.

I have never been pregnant all my life before Tadenikawo; my son is my first ever pregnancy with medical reports to back it upThe girl who is said to be my daughter is my niece.

I did my best to endure and make it work; many times, I smiled through the struggle, but I have finally realised I had just one assignment, my son, and when God is done, He is done. He chose Saul to be king, and when He was done, He told the prophet Samuel I have moved on. Religion was never an issue between us; please refer to my interview on News Central TV. Instead, His Majesty has a picture he would love the world to see and perceive him as and another one which is his true self.

Today I announce the beginning of a new dawn and the close of a chapter. Today, I am a mother to God’s unique gift. I am no longer a slave to my thoughts of perfection. I, at this moment, announce that I shall no longer be referred to as wife to the Ooni of Ife or as Queen of Ile-Ife but as the Queen of the people and mother of my adorable Prince.

He is God’s way of saying I know about it all. In situations like this, there will be aggrieved persons. I, at this moment, appeal to all parties involved to allow the peace of God with the consciousness that there is a lovely little boy between us. I thank all of my prayer partners and loved ones.

I remain committed to all of my projects, charity work and ministry. In this new season, I shall be focusing on God only.”

Ekiti South Agenda Agitators Slam Fayemi, Wife Over Role In 2022 Governorship Race|Ojaomonews

By Emmanuel Adeniran, Ado-Ekiti

The Ekiti South Senatorial Agenda Agitators has slammed the Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi and his wife, Erelu Bisi Fayemi over role at picking who becomes the next Governor of Ekiti State in the 2022 Governorship Race in the State.

The bombshell was dropped today at the Ekiti South Conference Towards 2022 Gubernatorial Election which was held at the popular Eagle Hall located along Ikere Ekiti in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State Capital.

In a keynote address giving by Professor Philip Omoniyi Adetiloye at the event, he labeled the Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi and his wife, Erelu Bisi Fayemi as principal agents working against the interest of the Ekiti South Senatorial District agenda in respect of the 2022 Governorship Race coming up next year.

According to Professor Adetiloye, he said, "it is disturbing to see the platform used by the cronies of Governor Fayemi on the social media called the 'JKF Mouthpiece' being used to promote the anointed candidate from the Ekiti Central Senatorial District as the next Governor of Ekiti State".

Continuing, Professor Adetiloye states that "since there are allegations and rumours that there is an anointed candidate of the Governor's Wife being promoted and ongoing in the social media, that the quiet Governor has not deemed it fit to dissociative himself from the political campaigns going on under his name by the JKF Mouthpiece group on WhatsApp and other social media".

The Professor queried "why the Governor has not called his supporters to stop the propaganda and the embarrassment to himself and his family by associating him with any aspirant on the social media that was purportedly created to highlight his achievements in office to the public and to the people of Ekiti State".

Ojaomonews  reliably gathered that, he also accused Governor Fayemi of deliberately sponsoring aspirants prelude to the APC primary election of 2018 with the aim of dividing the votes of the Governorship Aspirants from the Ekiti South Senatorial District.

The Professor therefore proffered that the number of Aspirants contesting from the Ekiti South Senatorial District be streamlined to a minimum of one or two so as to avoid a scenario where the Ekiti South Senatorial District will find it difficult winning the Governorship seat in the State.

He charged the people from the Zone to ensure that the usual directives from Abuja on who becomes a State Governor does not see the light of the day because such a move usually denies the fundamental human rights of the people to freely choose their Governor through a free and fair democratic processes.

In addition, the Professor in his own words pointed out that "the only myth that the political sycophants of the Governor can use to mesmerized the poverty-stricken and hungry individuals that are always willing to surrender their fundamental voting rights for personal gains is the myth that Mr. X or Mrs. Y is the anointed preferred candidate of Mr. Governor or Mrs. Governor".

He explained that poor governance by the Governor is responsible for the level of poverty that has increased from 2018 in the State till date. "He identify another myth being currently used to promote and peddled the so- called anointed candidate of Mr. or Mrs. Governor from the Ekiti Central Senatorial District as the issue of continuity agenda. He regarded the propaganda that the Governor would want a successor capable of sustaining his developmental projects in the State as what is known as Continuity.

Questioning further, Professor Adetiloye asked "if the continuity of the impunity with which the powerful caucuses in both parties singlehandedly picked the local government and State Executives during their party congresses while rejecting the list of those nominated by the party leaders in each of the 16 local government areas.

Adetiloye who queried further, asked "the Governor and his wife to point out what sort of continuity will be achieved with an unjust and manipulated democratic process? Asked if it is the continuity of the impunity with which powerful caucuses in both parties single handedly picked the local government and State Executives during their congresses while rejecting the list of those nominated by the party leaders in each of the 16 local government areas? Asked if the fractured party and lack of trust among party members in the 16 local government areas that will constitute the continuity agenda? Added if it is the impunity of running the affairs of Ekiti State with government cabinet members picked on the basis of presumed loyalty to the Governor and his 'tokan-tokan' caucus? He adduced his points as the reason for the increase in the level of the poverty in Ekiti State since 2018 till date".

He also queried "how a society can grow or develop economically where godfather factor is more important than the need to serve the people".

In a welcome address by Comrade Femi Babalola at the conference, he expressed displeasure over the imbalance of power experienced by the Ekiti South from inception and taken a devastating toll on the provision of infrastructural facilities and other dividends of democracy in the South Senatorial District.

He called on political actors in both the PDP and the APC to have a rethink and allow the Ekiti South Senatorial District to also have taste of the Governorship seat come 2022 Governorship Race without resulting into conflicts.

Honourable Femi Bamisile, an APC Governorship Aspirant and current member of the House of Representative in Abuja while addressing the people stated that the minority Senatorial District in Ekiti State has turned the majority Ekiti South Senatorial District to become the minority courtesy of the creation of the new Local Community Development Authority (LCDAs) in the State thereby making the Ekiti South loosed out in the creation of the LCDA's.

Honourable Kayode Adaramodu in his own submission counselled the Ekiti Concerned Citizens Group, the promoters of the Ekiti South Senatorial District agenda not to allow cracks in their ranks and files so that those who are slogging it out with the Ekiti South for the 2022 Governorship seat will not be able to hijack the Governorship Race from their zone in 2022.

In his own remark, Professor Bolaji Aluko, another APC Governorship Aspirant opined that the Ekiti South Agenda is not a political party but across the political lines. He added that the motive of the Ekiti Southern Agenda is not to fight government or the governor of the State. He therefore commended the agitators for been bold to champion the cause of the Ekiti South Agenda. He however advised the political gladiators from the Ekiti South Senatorial District not to allow themselves fall victim of accepting to become a Deputy Governor.

Also, speaking at the event, the Senator representing the Ekiti South Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Biodun Olujimi expressed her readiness to join agitations to press for an opportunity where the her Senatorial District is allowed to become a Governor in the State. She charged the Convener if the event not to be discouraged or draw back in a quest to see that their goal is achieved.

The lists of the Governorship Aspirants from both the PDP and the APC includes: Mr. Kayode Adaramodu (PDP), Honourable Yemi Adaramodu (APC), Dr. Adewale Ominrin (APC), Acting Governor of Ekiti State, Rt. Hon. Idowu Odeyemi (PDP), Professor Olusola Eleka, a former Deputy Governor of the State (PDP), PDP Southwest Publicity Secretary - Chief Sanya Atofarati, Surveyor Abiodun Aluko (APC) and Honourable Bamidele Faparusi (APC).

Others included Senator Adedayo Adeyeye (APC), Honourable Oyetunde Ojo from the Ekiti Central Senatorial District who was there to show solidarity (APC), Traditional Rulers from Isinbode Ekiti and Kota Ekiti both from the Ekiti East Local Government Area of the State.
