  • Stop Bickering! Gov. Fayemi Is Providing Progressive Leadership, Let's Join Hands To Support Him.

  • LET'S SHEATH OUR SWORDS AND JOIN HANDS TO SUPPORT GOVERNOR FAYEMI TO MOVE EKITI STATE FORWARD--- Surv Abiodun Aluko.

The victory of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the July 2018 gubernatorial election that brought back Dr John Kayode Fayemi again as Governor of Ekiti State was achieved through the collective efforts of all the APC leaders with the majority of Ekiti voters preferring him and therefore buying into the APC project.

As usual, the primary election through which Dr Fayemi emerged the candidate of the party was very keenly contested and quite contentious but all the other aspirants collapsed their structures and worked strenuously and tirelessly for the success of the party and its candidate.

Now that we are in government and in power, I believe what we need to do, after the initial reconciliation efforts is to consolidate, cooperate and deliver the dividends of democracy to Ekiti people rather than bickering and attacking the governor and the government of Ekiti State which all we leaders and members laboured very hard to bring into being. For sure, in any human endeavour where personal interests are involved, there can not but be competition and attrition but should not be allowed to degenerate to the point of tearing and destroying the system and platform which brought us into power which can still throw us up into greater heights and positions in the future if well nurtured and preserved and not pull it down just because our present desires and ambition are not yet met and achieved.
To avoid unnecessary noise and distraction, I implore the party leadership to explore all constitutional means to invite the aggrieved leaders, listen to them, pacify them and make amends where necessary, while the aggrieved should also stop their strident and disparaging media criticism which is definitely not in the the party and the government.

Dr. J K Fayemi is surely providing progressive leadership and good governance and delivering the dividends of democracy to the electorate within the limits and resources of the State government. The difference between this government and the immediate past one in terms of performance and good governance is very clear in all ramifications. Ekiti is no more in the news for very bad reasons while the business of government is being conducted in transparent and responsible manner with the three arms of government preforming seamlessly without interference.

The Fayemi government now pays salary and pension regularly before the end of the month unlike before when the government was owing six to nine months salaries and pension despite good FAC allocations, bailouts, Paris refund, budget support funds etc which are not available now. Road networks in each of the Senatorial districts are on-going; industrial revolution in the agricultural sector in the rice, cassava and ethanol, Ikun dairy etc. Segments has been initiated; completion of hitherto abandoned social and economic infrastructures like the Civic Centre, Ikogosi Warm Spring, the Ado Ekiti Central market, Schools renovation, etc are nearing completion now. The Ekiti State government was recently commended by the NCDC for the prompt attention it gave to the control of COVID-19 pandemic by establishing an isolation center and purchasing an organic testing machine being the first State to do so. The recent approval by the Federal Government for the dualization and construction of the Akure Ado-Ekiti road did not just occur by chance without him deploying his high--wired connection in Abuja. Ekiti State is undoubtedly on the upward path to greater, enduring and sustainable.

It's when we all support the governor without distraction that he can do more and perform to the optimum, so that Ekiti people can always prefer APC to any other political party in all future elections and ensure continuity of deliverance of good governance and development of Ekiti in all facets of life.

There is No Plot To Replace Secondus, a Fiction From a Disgruntled Fmr Governor

We read with consternation and unbelief the piece titled: “Southwest PDP Chairmen alleged plot to replace Secondus with George,”
written by Mr Muyiwa Adeyemi, Head, Southwest Bureau of the Guardian Newspaper. The article, ab initio, is unprofessional, malicious, indecent, reeks of prejudicial hack writing which is capable of diminishing the long held image of The Guardian.

The stark truth is that the article was total fabrication. The piece claims that Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state is scheming to displace Mr Uche Secondus and make Chief Bode George the Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party.

This is utter nonsense and falsehood. It is libelous; an outrageous fable, a reckless assassination of character sponsored with the sole aim of tarnishing the hard- earned image of Governor Seyi Makinde and Chief Olabode George.

The article discountenances morality. It is offensive, foul and noisome. It derides facts, scoffs at the truth, mangles reality to achieve some deviously hidden goal.

We are shocked and disappointed that this kind of yellow-journalism can be smuggled into the once hallowed pages of The Guardian without proper gate-keeping and fact checks.

It is even more disgusting to know that Mr Adeyemi who is based in Ibadan failed to cross check with the Governor’s office or Chief Bode George the nature of the meeting held at Agodi Government house, Ibadan on June 19th .What’s more a Communique was also issued and given to journalists about the theme of the meeting. The Governor had invited the Elders and Stakeholders of the party in the Southwest to reposition the party and reconcile and mend the broken places. Nothing more.

How this selfless mission of the Governor somehow turns into some dark scheming to remove the party Chairman befuddles the imagination.

We are aware and also in possession of evidence that Mr Adeyemi was used by a disgruntled former governor who took the same fiction to several newspapers but was rejected because they know the story is libelous .

The basic principle of journalism is to balance a story, to investigate, to speak to all sides of the divide to avoid the stamp of bias and libelous litigation. Mr Adeyemi stands indicted for untidy, compromised journalism capable of reducing the esteem of the Guardian which I once worked for at the highest level when the gatekeepers were doing their job very well. Not so anymore.

While we hold the management and the publisher of the Guardian in high esteem, it is befitting that a retraction and apology for this demeaning defamatory journalism is issued urgently.

Oshiomole Ouster Cements Fayose/Tinubu's "Tax collectors" re-alignment Ahead 2022/23.

By Chief Sanya Atofarati

Prior to the June 2018 governorship election held in Ekiti state, the former governor Ayo Fayose then at the helms of affairs at the Oke-Ayoba government house could be referred to as the most powerful politician in the Western geopolitical zone of Nigeria.

Many of us raised the alarm concerning the unholy alliance between the persons of Fayose and the National leader of APC, Asiwaju Tinubu but majority didn't take us serious.

I could remember tens of articles written to this regard aimed at sensitizing the genuine members of the PDP in a bid to rescue the party from its imminent and avoidable crash.

It will also be recalled that the highhandedness of the then governor Fayose was practically responsible for the mass defection of notable leaders of the party alongside their followers which obviously contributed to the failure of PDP government in the Ekiti 2018 governorship poll. Fayose indeed never wanted PDP to win.

While some founding leaders of Ekiti PDP were out, trying tirelessly to amend the damage caused by Fayose and to reunite the aggrieved members who probably left the party because of his tyrannical leadership, Ayo Fayose had a different mindset and agenda which centered solely on selfishness and greed.

I dare Fayose to deny it, that he did not negotiate the trading of Ekiti PDP for his temporary freedom at EFCC with Tinubu. How? He had negotiated with Tinubu with a game plan of working undercover in support of Chief Segun Oni for Governor and Oyetunde Ojo (Tinubu's Son inlaw) as Deputy Governor, against the aspiration of the then Minister for Solid Mineral Resources, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, in the May 12, 2018 APC governorship primary.

After collecting the first tranche of the 1 billion naira deal, Fayose then deviced the strategy to adopt a weaker Aspirant for the PDP, which saw Prof. Kolapo Eleka as his candidate, a year before the party's primaries and as against the 90 days provisions of the Electoral Act. This consequently in no small measure polarized the party and brought about disaffection among members and thereby frustrated many  out of the party.

Unfortunately, The trio of Oni, Fayose and Tinubu were defeated by Fayemi in the keenly contested primary election that produced Segun Oni as runner's up and Kayode Ojo as the 3rd position.

When the reality of Fayemi's victory dawned on him, even after securing an indicting 'White Paper' resolution on the allegations of financial misappropriation and abuse of office against Fayemi in their quest to stop him from contesting the APC primary through the then Ekiti 5th Assembly, Fayose ran back to Tinubu and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola in Lagos both who (those who probably deceived Fayose) then promised to support the ambition of Prof. Eleka of PDP in the alternative owing to the age long unresolved rift between Fayemi and his former godfather, Tinubu.

Eventually, Tinubu disappointed Fayose. On that very day, Eleka had followed Fayose for a meeting with Tinubu who had earlier promised monetary support for the Eleka/Ogunsakin's election against Fayemi/Egbeyemi of APC. When they got to Tinubu's residence, Fayose was asked to wait behind as he was told the APC leaders were in a crucial meeting which had in attendance Fowler, Aregbesola and other caucus members.

After the meeting, at about 3am, Tinubu was the first to step out and Fayose rushed to him to validate his appointment but was however told that the leaders have decided and which decision was to be communicated to Fayose through Aregbesola.

When Aregbesola came out of the meeting venue, ( as at this time, Eleka was already sleeping on his seat) he disappointingly told Fayose that the leaders had reached a consensus to support Fayemi and that they could not afford to work against the candidacy of their party. With this news, Fayose became disappointed and enraged.

LOOKING BEYOND THEN AND NOW...

The good news is that PDP remains the ONLY Hope for Nigerians which could  revamp the nation's  sinking economy and halt the maladministration melted on the citizenry by the ruling Buhari/APC led government in 2023 and particularly, in Ekiti 2022 governorship election.

Remover of Adams Oshiomole as National Chairman has affirmed Gov Kayode Fayemi's leadership of APC in the southwest geopolitical zone, and Asiwaju Tinubu has since become a former National Leader and may soon seize to being a member, as he has commenced  navigating talks with the opposition PDP, already, with well packaged beautiful lies >>

*[ Bola Tinubu to PDP: A Fruitful Relationship Is Certain Ahead Of 2023 - June 26 2020]*

How do we then rescue this Country Nigeria from the foreseeable and avoidable merger of these political cankerworms who are aggressively approaching  us to devour the remnant of our already damaged resources and feast fat of our Commonwealth.

Nigerians and particularly, Ekiti people must be aware, alerted and ready to resist stiffly the possible political conspiracy between Tinubu and Fayose capable of assaulting our intelligence and placing in bad light, a nation with its attendant century-long regrettable adventure: God forbid

  • Tinubu Summoned Courage; The Action of President And NEC Did Not Affect My Purported Ambition, I'm Yet To Decide
  • BREAKING: I have not decided on 2023 presidential race, says Tinubu

Bola Ahmed Tinubu says he has not taken a decision to run for president in 2023 contrary to speculations, maintaining that he was more worried about the health and economic challenges facing the country at the moment.

In a statement he released on Saturday afternoon, he commented for the first time on the ouster of the Adams Oshiomhole-led national working committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The NWC was dissolved on Thursday by the party’s national executive committee (NEC) at an emergency meeting.

This was seen as a blow to Tinubu’s rumoured presidential ambition because of his closeness to Oshiomhole.

“To those who have been actively bleating how the President’s actions and the NEC meeting have ended my purported 2023 ambitions, I seek your pity. I am but a mere mortal who does not enjoy the length of foresight or political wisdom you profess to have. Already, you have assigned colourful epitaphs to the 2023 death of an alleged political ambition that is not yet even born,” he said.

“At this extenuating moment with COVID-19 and its economic fallout hounding us, I cannot see as far into the distance as you. I have made no decision regarding 2023 for the concerns of this hour are momentous enough.”

Olujimi Mourns The Death Of Ekiti Ex-Commissioner Ayodele

The Senator representing South District of Ekiti State, Mrs Biodun Olujimi has described the sudden demise of the former State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Hon. Michael Ayodele, as a rude shock.

The senator in a statement personally signed on behalf of herself, family and Ekiti PDP Repositioning Team noted that the late Hon Michael Ayodele was a man who lived his life without unnecessary controversies.

"Hon Ayodele Michael (aka Salindo), It is with very heavy heart that I write this short piece on behalf of myself, family and our teeming members of the repositioning team. The death of Salindo took the breadth from all of us.

It is and will remain a rude shock. All of us who encountered Salindo especially his 'brother' Otunba Akerele will attest to the fact that he was a great gentleman! He conducted himself with such respect and dignity!

He was trustworthy, reliable and dependable. Even at the height of provocation, he maintained the decency he imbibed from his upbringing. He did not engage in unnecessary controversies, He had very strong convictions as a politician but he conducted himself with decorum. We lost a great man!!

We pray that the Almighty God will console and abide with his wife and young children. We pray specially for his aged  parents, especially his doting father, who is an exemplary model for honesty and decency.

Papa, we are with you in your grief, we know what you are going through but we assure you, God is with you. It is a trying time but God must have a good reason for taking Salindo away so early without giving us an opportunity to try!!
May God rest his noble soul. May God sheath His anger. May PDP find solace in his humble achievements.

May God abide and provide for his family. May his children grow up to attain heights unimaginable.

May we learn humility and decorous living knowing fully well that death is sure and our legacy is what will be told when we are gone.
Sleep well, dear brother, safe passage to your maker". Olujimi Said.

Exclusive: PDP NWC, Governors Allegedly Settled For Agboola, Obaseki In Ondo, Edo Guber Polls

The National leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) under the National Working Committee (NWC) and their governors have allegedly settled for the choice of Governor Godwin Obaseki as the party’s Candidate for the September governorship election in Edo state and the Ondo state Deputy Governor, Hon Agboola Ajayi as the party’s Candidate for October 10, 2020 governorship election; SUNSHINETRUTH can report.

According to a source in Abuja, after high-power interventions from the stakeholders, PDP conceded Edo ticket to Obaseki and Ondo guber candidacy to Ajayi.

The ondo state Deputy Governor who just registered for PDP at his Kiribo ward in Ese-Odo local government area of the state today (Sunday) and will officially defects from the APC to the PDP tomorrow (Monday).

Obaseki and his deputy, Hon Shuaibu had last week Friday dumped the APC for the PDP.

Already, seven aspirants had obtained the nomination form of the PDP including the party’s 2016 gubernatorial candidate, Mr Eyitayo Jegede (SAN), a former Federal lawmaker, Dr Bode Ayorinde, the PDP National Vice Chairman (Southwest), Dr Eddy Olafeso and Barr Sola Ebiseni among others.

Exclusive: Ambode May Bounce Back, To Replace Pepperito In The Red Chamber.

It's Time To Say Go And Sin No More, Akinwunmi Ambode. It's Doable By The "Only Man In The Arena Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu", Ably Supported By The Lagos State APC Leaders.

From the grapevine Ambode has been tipped to replace the great pepperito, late Senator Sikiru Bayo Osinowo.

Mr Akinwunmi Ambode may just be about to bounce back into political reckoning in Lagos state.

He has been tipped as one of the likely replacements for late Senator Sikiru Bayo Oshinowo, a caterpillar and political juggernaut who passed away some days ago in Lagos.

Like Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu said when Ambode was denied his second term ticket, "Ambode has performed wonderfully and creditably well but he's not a good party man". Recent happenings in the party suggest that he has learnt a good and useful lesson from his score card by his mentor, leader and benefactor to guide him in his future political career.

It was very clear that "the proscribed Mandate group" insisted on denying Mr Akinwumi Ambode his second term ticket. It is suspicious that Akinwumi Ambode is coming back on the stage of Lagos politics after the imbroglio happening within the national leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the honorable minister of interior, Engr Rauf Aregbesola.

APC Crisis:Tinubu makes further move to whittle Aregbesola influence in Lagos APC, sacks him as GAC member

LAGOS GAC: OTUNBA BUSH, CARDINAL ODUNMBAKU MAKES LIST, OGBENI RAUF AREGBESOLA MEMBERSHIP TERMINATED

To further reduce the political influence of Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola’s in Lagos State, his name has been removed from the membership list of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) of All Progressives’ Congress in the state.

These development was as a result of the recent row which happened between the Interior Minister and the national leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The membership of the GAC of APC in Lagos state has been reviewed. Presently, the former two commisioner for works in Lagos by political leaning, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola doesn’t belong to Lagos again, despite his massive political structures he built in Last 20 years as second command to Ashiwaju Tinubu.

While he ruled Osun state for 8 years, Ogbeni still dictates the direction of Politics in Lagos till few months without anybody daring his authority.

However, his detractors in summary are now quick to point to him that he is representing Osun state as her Federal Minister and being a two term governor of the same state. Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola’s Voters Card also bears Osun state.

Ekiti 2022: Your Meeting With Tinubu Is Not In The Interest Of PDP~ Group Chides Fayose

The Ekiti State Chapter of the Young Leaders Forum of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP-YLF) has called on the party's National Working Committee, to as a matter of urgency and in the overall interest of the party checkmate what it described as unguarded comments of the immediate past governor of the state, Mr Ayo Fayose aimed at scuttling the peace process being embarked by the party.

The group in a statement signed by the Coordinator and Secretary, Mr Wole Adedara and Kazim Olayiwola, respectively, posited that it was becoming embarrassing the unpatriotic comments and actions of the ex-governor which has been the cog in the progress of the party for sometime now.

YLF said, "We are calling the attention of our respected leader and former governor, Ayo Fayose to some disparaging comments purportedly made by him at the detriment of the ongoing peace parley in Ekiti State.

The group stated "we have it on good record that Mr Fayose has been sabotaging the genuine reconciliation efforts of the Caretaker Committee by his inciting comments, we therefore call on the NWC, to as a matter of urgency and in national interest to investigate and  dispense necessary disciplinary actions."

The group stressed further that "Mr Fayose must be aware that all his meetings with the APC National Leader, Asiwaju Tinubu in Lagos particularly the one held on Sunday, June 14, 2020 night in Lagos, in their efforts  to undermine the Ekiti PDP are not unknown to public sphere adding that this is evident in all his plans cum actions to scuttle the Caretaker Committee's peace move.

The group however commended the PDP leaders and members in the state for their resilience and commitment towards returning power to the people via constructive engagement of the opposition and the ruling APC led government in the state, urging them to avoid any leader who is poised at manipulating the fortune of the Party for selfish political gains.

No matter the level of conspiracy against me, my determinations to pursue a just course stands forever. This is one of my anger against former Governor Ayo Fayose that wanted to implicate Governor Fayemi at all cost for misappropriating Subeb funds and for lending my support for Prince Dayo Adeyeye for Governorship aspiration. For whatsoever reason, as a former human right activist, I will always stand for the truth no matter the levels of intimidation and conspiracy gang against my person, I remain truthful always.. Governor Fayemi did not steal/ withdraw any kobo from Subeb counterpart funds. My problem of yesterday for being factual as commissioner in Subeb is now the joy of today. I thank God for the jurist judgement against my unlawful removal by the Ex-governor Fayose for speaking the truth and for my boldness for confronting him on issues that are fundamental during and after my speakership.

APC screening committee passes Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, disqualifies Obaseki, Ogiemwonyi, Iduoriyekemwen

The Screening Committee of the All Progressives Congress has cleared Pastor Osagie-Ize Iyamu to participate in the party’s primary election in Edo State scheduled for the 22nd of June, while disqualifying the embattled incumbent Governor over discrepancies in his academic credentials.

Governor Godwin Obaseki was deemed ineligible by the Screening Committee over multiple inconsistencies in his presented academic certificates, including a Higher School Leaving Certificate the Governor claimed to have obtained from an Institute of Continuing Education in Benin City, Edo State.

The certificate, according to the committee, is unknown to the Nigerian education system and the Governor also admitted during the screening that he never received the certificate.

Furthermore, his NYSC certificate indicated the name ‘Obasek’, and while the Committee acknowledged that this could be an error on the part of the issuing body, it flagged the Governor’s failure to address the problem for years and thus solidified doubts on its authenticity. Governor Godwin Obaseki also failed to supply additional documents solicited as proof of its claims.

On these grounds, the Committee, relying on the party constitution, ruled Governor Godwin Obaseki ineligible for participation in the party primary.

Engineer Chris Ogiemwonyi was also ruled ineligible over inconsistencies in the name contained in his submitted academic certificates. Another disqualified aspirant was Mr. Matthew Iduoriyekemwen.

Dr. Pius Odubu and Mr. Osaro Obaze however passed the screening and joined Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu as the aspirants ruled eligible by the Screening Committee of the party to participate in the primary election.

Governor Godwin Obaseki’s disqualification came as no surprise to party members who, in the past few weeks, have raised alarm over the inconsistencies in his academic qualifications and how that could cost the party if he is presented for election.

The Governor was dragged to court over indicting allegations of forgery and perjury, adding to the concerns of APC stakeholders in the state who agreed that disqualifying the embattled governor from the race would serve the best interest of the party.

Again Fayemi, Ojudu Clash Over Performance In Ekiti

No governance in Ekiti – Ojudu ,

The Special Adviser to President Mohammadu Buhari on Political Affairs, Senator Babafemi Ojudu has renewed his fight with the Ekiti State governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi over the performance of the All Progressives Congress(APC) led government in the state.

The Senator who represented Ekiti Central in seventh Senate , stated this during a telephone chat with journalists.

The ex Senator, with other aggrieved leaders of APC , are  currently challenging the legal validity of the Paul Omotosho
led State Executive Council of the APC in Ekiti

In  his latest outburst, Ojudu rated Fayemi low in terms of performance claiming that even states contending  with security challenges fair  better than Ekiti .

But Fayemi, in a swift reaction described Ojudu as a stranger who hardly visit Ekiti and could not have seen anything .

The governor who  spoke through his Special Assistant on Media and Public Communication,  Segun Dipe, said that contrary to what the senator said, there was governance in the state.

“Ojudu is sounding like people are claiming he is. He is guilty of what people is accusing people of. We believe his appointment can’t be divorced from being an Ekiti man. Yes, Senator Ojudu doesn’t come home and doesn’t recognize Ekiti at the moment.

“What you don’t understand you will always see fault in it. For now, he is excused from seeing the negative side because he is already a stranger and alien to the people and the party.

“What you don’t understand you will always see fault in it. For now, he is excused from seeing the negative side because he is already a stranger and alien to the people and the party.

"He is practising deliberate amnesia. He chooses to forget what he want to forget and remember what he want to remember. In the long run, there is governance and there is APC in Ekiti State.”

But the President’s aide also accused the governor of running the state and the party, like a one man show and a puppeteer.

“where is the focus on the people now ? Is it roads the government is constructing ? Is it providing employment ?  Is it providing foods ? Where is the governance ? I want you to do a search on google and tell me where the projects are.
On the allegation of running the party like a one man show, the Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, said that the Governor has not called any meeting of party leaders or caucus meeting since he was sworn in almost two years on.

“They have not call any meeting of leaders of the party. No meeting, no caucus, I don’t know how one man can run a show of the party . He is a puppeteer. He beats the drum and others just dance to it.

“Most of us have been observers; ex-senators, ex-House of Representatives members, ex-speaker of the House of Assembly, ex-members of the House of Assembly, leaders of repute. Nobody has been asked to come for any meeting.”.

  • Ekiti PDP mocks Fayemi over Lawmakers Resolution To Name 8-Years Uncompleted Project After Him

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State has described the resolution by the State House of Assembly to name uncompleted Ekiti State Civic Centre after the State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi as "clear display of emptiness,  idleness and lack of nothing to show for the close to six years of Fayemi's governance in Ekiti."

The party,  in a statement on Tuesday,  by Secretary of the State Caretaker Committee,  Diran Odeyemi,  said it was funny that after governing Ekiti State for close to six years,  there was nothing tangible to attach the name of Governor Fayemi to, except an uncompleted building.

As part of the activities marking the first year in office of the sixth Ekiti Assembly yesterday, the assembly had passed a motion mandating the executive to rename Ekiti State Civic Centre under construction as John Kayode Fayemi Cultural Centre.

Reacting,  the PDP said "only a do-nothing governor like Fayemi will seek to use his puppet Assembly members to achieve his personal ambition of immortalising himself."

Odeyemi said rather than asking Fayemi to name the uncompleted Civic Centre after himself,  the "SMS assembly members should be asking the governor to account for the over N3 billion already spent on the project,  which started since 2012. Or how many years did it take to build the Ikeja Shopping Mall in Lagos that building a mere Civic Centre in Ekiti will take eight years?"

The party said; "In Ekiti today,  projects done by PDP governments are visible everywhere. Flyover Bridge, Adetiloye Hall, Jibowu Hall,  High Court, Governor's Office (both old and new), Adunni Olayinka Women Centre, Oja Oba Market in Ado Ekiti, Trade Fair Complex,  Fountain Hotel, House of Assembly Complex, Deputy Governor's Office, Ministry of Finance and many others are structures put in place by PDP government.

"None of these structures were named after the PDP governors who built them.  Even former governor Ayodele Fayose did not name the Fayose Market in Ajilosun,  Ado Ekiti after himself, the people did."

While describing the over nine years Fayemi has spent as Minister and governor of Ekiti State as a waste,  Odeyemi said, as Minister in charge of solid minerals in the country,  what did he do to the Clay Kaolin that is in commercial quantity in Isan Ekiti,  his hometown?

"Clay Kaolin in used majorly for abrasive, plastics, ceramics ware, pharmaceuticals, textiles, fertilizers, white tiles and insulator wares pencils. Fayemi was in charge of solid minerals for over three years,  he did nothing about the solid minerals in his hometown,  Isan Ekiti not to talk of those in other towns in Ekiti State.

"It is therefore laughable that after spending close to six years as governor,  he does not have anything tangible that he has done, that can be named after him other than a project that started in 2012 and yet to be completed up till now."
