Ekiti PDP Disown Swearing-in Of Executives

The attention of the party has been drawn to a purported swearing-in  of the ward Executives by one notary public , Barrister Niyi idowu. Ordinarily, one would have allowed those who hired him without authority to be swimming in an ocean of absurdity  and unconstitutionality  but the party has a duty to to check their recklessness  in order not to mislead the ordinary man on the street and our party members:

1. I  Barrister Gboyega Oguntuwase still remain the state party chairman.

 2. I declare that the purported swearing-in  was done during the pendency of the outgoing ward executives of the party whose tenure ends today and except  for dubious political game and recklessness; a proper swearing-in can only be done after the expiration of their tenure.

3. I wish to state that I up till today and now I have not received any letter from anywhere directing me to do any swearing-in for anybody.

4. Even if I receive one now, the directive of the dejure governor of the state concerning social distancing will impede any gathering and swearing in.

5. I know also that there is a case before a federal high court in Ado Ekiti concerning the congress. Its is a rudimentary principle of law that matters before courts must not be obstructed as to foist a situation of hopeless on litigants and  helplessness on  the court.

6 . The notary public contracted to do the swearing-in is not known to the party as I did not mandate anybody to get him to work for us.

7. I appeal to all to remain calm until by constitutional means, every thing is resolved.

On Friday, 17 April 2020, Nigeria recorded the highest number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 so far. Fifty-one confirmed cases were recorded.
Of these cases, one was recorded in Ekiti state. This brings cases of the virus in Ekiti to three with two discharged.
The senator representing Ekiti south senatorial district, Mrs Biodun Olujimi charges the Ekiti state government to intensify efforts in the fight against the virus in the state.
Olujimi urges the government of the state to look into further equipping the Isolation centre in the state inorder to facilitate quick recovery of the COVID-19 patient. She commends the efforts of the health workers over the treatment of the previous two discharged patients.
Senator Olujimi admonishes the Fayemi led Administration to sensitize Ekiti residents as she rightly observed that most of the people do not take precautionary measures due to lack of information.
It should be known that the state do not have adequate health facilities that can accommodate the virus in the state so it is pertinent to contain the spread of the virus so as not to jeopardize the lives of Ekiti people.
Senator Olujimi also appealed to the government of the state to provide more palliative supports in the state as the lockdown is still on. If the people are hungry, they may be left with no choice than to go out against the government order.
She said that at this time, protecting the lives of the citizens of Ekiti should be the most important business of the state government.
The senator also calls on the NCDC to put in place more testing facilities across the country inorder to contain the virus at the early stage.

APC Leaders Describes Olujimi’s Palliative Support, As A Legendary Lead

The leaders of the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State have commended the PDP’s Senator representing South Senatorial District, Biodun Olujimi for her food support to the leadership of the ruling APC in the state.
According to group in a statement made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti on Thursday, Senator Olujimi has taken the legendary lead in the liberation movement in Ekiti without any political coloration.
They said the good gesture of senator Olujimi will compliment the efforts of the state governement to solve the food shortage in this season of restricted movements in the state.
The group under the aegis of APC-Liberation group (APC-LG), in a statement co signed by its State Chairman and Secretary, Elder Akin Ibikunle and Hon. Emmanuel Akindahunsi respectively said their group domiciled within the Ekiti APC comprises of members who are elders state men and whose role is to maintain sanity not only in the APC but across the state.
In the group’s view, Senator Olujimi has by that singular gesture further rebuilt the confidence of Ekiti people towards the ‘Ekiti First’ project and has also disabused the minds of every Nigerian against politics of bitterness.
The statement reads; ” It has become imperative to issue this appreciation statement particularly, as it affects the generality of Ekiti people. We are an outstanding group of APC stakeholders and our position herein, notwithstanding, does not have anything to do with the defeated PDP as a political party in Ekiti but as concerned leaders who deem the gesture of Senator Olujimi worthy of commendation. “
It will be recalled that Senator Biodun Olujimi as part of her palliative for covid 19 pandemic donated food stuff to the leadership of Ekiti APC and PDP this week.

The giant strides of Sen Biodun Olujimi and her benevolent spirit beyond political interests.

I write in respect of the baseless, unscholastic and unfounded story of one Hon. Omotoso Okeya about the Humanitarian services of Sen Biodun Olujimi in cushioning the effects of COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown placed on Ekiti citizens.

First and foremost, I appreciate the self acclaimed support and unalloyed loyalty of Hon. Omotoso Okeya to PDP and a selected stakeholders who I term SHAREHOLDERS within PDP.

Now, going by Sen Biodun Olujimi's maxim in her political lexicon to the people of Ekiti State. "Hunger is not a member of any political party", it therefore amounts to errant nonsense and ignorance   to misconstrue, misinterpret or misrepresent the good gesture.

Not even in APC as a party (generally believed as an occult organisation) will ever talk ill of its members to the extent of disparaging its benefactors and dealing  a big blow to the party. This can only happen in PDP comprising of sacrificing stakeholders and trading shareholdees. A Party where somebody who naturally ought to be called a Stateman is justling and dancing a macabre dance about CANVASSING for the position of a STATE Party Leader after selling its assets and having campaigned vehemently against his Party and its member in a general  election.

It's very unfortunate that a person like Hon. Omotosho Okeya can be involved in this pettiness and be playing a dirty politics by condemning a giving attitude, charity and Humanitarian services.

But should I be surprised at Okeya's attitude? I think not. When I recount the roles he played during the time Sen Olujimi was at the Tribunal, Okeya was listed as a PDP witness as a Ward Collation Agent, he dribbled his own Party until the Tribunal concluded its assignment. He never showed up. The rest is history today. Okeya is definitely being hunted by his past and I cannot blame him. He cannot be expected now to change his hatred for Senator Olujimi. While I dont blame him, yet, I pity him.

Recently, Former governor of Ekiti State Chief Ayodele Fayose had been alleged severally on social media that he got #100m from Bourdillon to finance his group in the last Ward Congress, he is also alleged of living in the Bourdillon, do you know that none of the reputable members of the Repositioning group ever dragged his name in the mud despite that investigations show it is true and Okeya in particular never deem it fit to condemn the action. Neither did he condemned Fayose's radio and video campaigns against Sen. Olujimi during the countdown to the last General election.

Just recently, the former Governor still occupied the media raining praises on H.E Babajide Sanwo-Olu of APC, the Governor of Lagos State. This is even an evidence that the allegations against him that he belongs to Lagos APC is true and thst he's feeding fat on the Bourdillon bullion Vans. "Irú Ẹlẹ́rìí wò là tún wà" ?

The lockdown involved every individual both the apolitical and  politicians in Ekiti State. The palliatives materials must go round and every indegent person in Ekiti must be given a priority without Party consideration.

Sen Biodun Olujimi is a Senator of the ederal Republic of Nigeria. She's making law for the nation and she's representing Nigeria at the Ecowas Parliament. That she was voted for under the platform PDP does not demean her responsibility as a foremost Leader in Ekiti State, a Stateman in Nigeria and an Ambassador at the international level.

This is Sen Biodun Olujimi who preferred to stay back in the party PDP when the former governor Chief Ayodele Fayose Pitched his tent with the ACN to unseat Chief Segun Oni, tore the PDP Umbrella symbol and joined other Parties to come back with NOTHING. Okeya was not aware of all these forays and didn't question his anti-party activities. He (Fayose) later joined Labour Party to contest against his supposed present party PDP.

It's better we appreciate the woman for her good gestures in giving our Party a new look and a new even to the admiration of the aggrieved APC members and the PDP members that defected during the last Gubernatorial elections but who are now planning to come back home.
Like Shakespear said, the evils that man do live after after them.....

Ekiti PDP Senator Feeds APC members, Says Hunger Is Not A Member Of Any Political Party.

Easter Celebration: Reactions As PDP Senator, Olujimi Donates Food To APC Secretariat In Ekiti.

...Don't Politicise it, hunger is not a member of any political party ~ Says Olujimi

Senator representing the South Senatorial District of Ekiti state, Mrs Biodun Olujimi, has cautioned the viral misrepresentation of her palliative support to the people of the state, in some quarters of the media.

In reaction, Olujimi said it was mischievous of anyone to politicize the gesture which she said was borne out of genuine love for the Ekiti project.

"It is unacceptable for anyone to attach any political sentiment to this. Ekiti belong to all of us and it is the responsibility of all of us to provide for all. Hunger is not a member of any political party. Therefore, my giving to APC is giving to Ekiti people".

Furtherance to the last week's disbursement of N10,000 each to 2000 residents of Ekiti State, Senator Olujimi had on Monday, April 5, 2019 donated truckloads of food support to the establishment of the ruling All Progressives Congress in the state. The Items which included Bags of Rice, Packs of Noodles, Sugar, Garri among others were received by the APC State Chairman, Barr. Paul Omotoso, on behalf of the party.

This development has however triggered public discussion and engagements particularly, among political class across the 16 Local Govt Areas of the state. Some said the gesture had further revealed the ineptitude of the ruling APC-led government while some believe it was an attempt by the opposition party PDP to humiliating the APC. However, many commended the Senator for her all inclusiveness in the delivery of dividends of democracy.
