The canditate of Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) for house of Representatives, Ekiti south Federal Constituency1, Engr. Akomolafe Henrich has showered encomium on Tobi Amusan for her well deserved victory and for making Nigerians proud. 

Henrich in a post on his verified social media page applauded Tobi Amusan as she made history as the first woman in the world to run below 12.2s in the 100mH at the World Athletics Championship, Oregon 22. 

He appreciated her for showing the world that  Nigeria is indeed the giant of Africa with good talents and useful Youths. 

Engr Heinrich concluded by charging other youths in the nation to showcase their talents in all spheres of life.

House of Reps canditate for EKITI SOUTH FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY 1.

The Director General of Oyo state Liaison Office Abuja and Lagos, Wale Ajani today visited the Chairman, Federal Character Commission (FCC) Dr. Muheeba Dankaka with a view to seeking for improved mutual relationship.

Ajani, who was in company of top Management staffs of Oyo state Liaison Office in Abuja also paid the Federal Commissioner in the FCC, Professor Adeniyi Olowofela a courtesy call and to fashion out ways to get unemployed Oyo state indigenes federal government job opportunities during recruitments.

In his brief remarks, Ajani stressed the importance of the chairman to the overall development agenda of Oyo state under the present Gov Seyi Makinde led government and also desire to collaborate effectively with the commission in order for Oyo to benefit more than before in terms of slots, opportunities, and considerations.

He also solicited for more inclusive representation of oyo state indigenes in the area of recruitment in line with the federal character principle and for oyo state indigenes not to be shortchanged or schemed out of things during recruitment exercise.

The Chairman in her response, expressed the commission's willingness to collaborate with Oyo which was said to be long long overdue and thanked Governor Seyi Makinde for appointing a new DG with eyes on diverse opportunities from Federal MDAs.

She also expressed the commission's readiness to meet with Governor Makinde in order to delibrate on how to fastrack the construction of the permanent site of the Commission in the state which has already been budgeted for in the 2022 financial plan.

She added that the construction of the State Office would provide job opportunities for quite a large number of oyo state indigenes as well as serve as catchment areas after the commissioning of the new permanent office by the Governor.

The Chairman however, appreciated the DG. Hon. Ajani and his team for coming on a courtesy call saying the gesture was timely, heartwarming, and productive.

Ajani in his final remarks thanked the Chairman for the warm reception and promised a more cordial and mutually beneficial relationship between oyo state and the commission.

Barring any last minute changes, Ekiti progressives,a group of grassroot mobilisers that supported Eng Segun Oni during Ekiti PDP primary election and June 18 governorship election  will mobilize thousands of their supporters across the 177 wards in Ekiti State to support the presidential ambition of Nigerian former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

 Rising from State Executive Committee meeting (SEC) of the group in Ado, the leadership of the group also met with Senator Mrs Olujimi behind closed door for over two hours. 

Ojaomonews reliably gathered that, the ssues pertaining to forthcoming presidential election and the need to work together as a united team to deliver Ekiti State for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar  were thoroughly discussed including  strategy, Mobilisation and working arrangement was discussed. 

The group resolved to meet all appropriate organs including the presidential Candidate in the next few days and also arrange an elaborate outing at the State capital where thousands of their members will declare support for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

The group resolved to set up two hundred members planning committee to organize the declaration.

Among those in attendance at the meeting are the state coordinator of the group,Hon Wale Ayeni and other leaders of the group such as Chief Gboye Afilaka, former commissioner, Rt Hon Segun Adewum former Deputy Speaker of Ekiti State assembly, Hon Olayode Omotoso former lawmaker, Barrister Ola Alonge, Former local government Chairman, Hon Tayo Ogundare former local government chairman, Hon Ajayi Peter (Apro)

Chief Williams, former party chairman, Alhaji Ojo Fasasi, Hon Alex Ade Ojo, former lawmaker, Hon Bisi Adaramewa, former local government chairman, Hon Awojolu Michael, Mrs Nike Adedayo,  Hon Ajayi Oludare Adeleye, Comrade Sam Omoniyi and Other leaders of the group.
