The opposition People's Democratic Party, PDP has mocked President Muhammadu Buhari over his claim that Nigerian economy has experienced a boom In his New Year speech.

The party in a statement by its Zonal Publicity Secretary Chief Sanya Atofarati yesterday said; "Our President and his speech writers must have been living in another planet to make such an unfortunate statement at a time like this'.

The party noted that Buhari was deluded by the recent GDP figures released by the National Bureau of Statistics of purported

4.03% growth recorded in the third quarter of 2021, which has no bearing with the reality on ground.

Atofarati who urged the President not to rely on figures on paper however said Buhari should take a day off from the comfort of Aso Villa and feel the pains of ordinary Nigerians languishing in abject poverty, economic hardship and spiraling inflation. 

Prices of commodities have reached the roof in the past six years of APC led administration to the extent that Nigerians are now asking for the return of PDP 

“Buhari should take time to explain to Nigerians how his voodoo economic policies which rely heavily on foreign borrowing can lead to economic prosperity"

The Party's scribe then urged Nigerians to endure the pains suffered in the hand of the APC and wait patiently till 2023 for the return of PDP

Olubadan: SW PDP commiserates with Makinde|Ojaomonews

The People's Democratic Party PDP South West has commiserated with the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde over the death of Olubadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji who passed on at the weekend.

The party in a statement signed by its Zonal Publicity Secretary Chief Sanya Atofarati said the late monarch has lived a fulfilled life worthy of emulation 

"The south west PDP family condole with the Oyo State Governor Mr Seyi Makinde and the entire people of Ibadanland on the sad news of the passing of Oba Saliu Adetunji after a brief illness.

"It is no doubt that the revered monarch lived an exemplary and fulfilled life that is worthy of emulation  as a first class traditional ruler who has played his part in the progress and development of Ibadan and Oyo State as a whole.

"We commiserate with Governor Seyi Makinde and the people of Oyo State who only recently mourned the death of another prominent traditional ruler, the Soun of Ogbomosho. We pray that God Almighty will give the people of the state the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss'

The South West People's Democratic Party has urged Nigerians to exercise patience as they will soon  experience new breath of life in 2022. 

The opposition party also boasts of victory in Ekiti and Osun states Guber elections. 

In a new year press statement by its spokesman, Chief Sanya Atofarati, the PDP said Nigerian nation under President Muhammadu Buhari has been  a huge joke.

The party, however, expressed optimism that the new year would provide an opportunity to right the wrongs of the past through the ballot in the 2022 Ekiti and Osun Governorship and the 2023 general elections, respectively, Ojaomonews

The South-West PDP commended Nigerians for staying united against injustice meted on them by the clueless administration of APC/Buhari led Federal Government.

 In a related development, Atofarati lauded the PDP administration in Oyo State led by Governor Seyi Makinde on the payment of 13th month for workers on the payroll of the state government describing it as the hallmark of a God fearing leader who is committed to the welfare of his people.
