Ekiti PDP Congress: Court Adjourned Till June 30th, Gives Room For Amendment Before The Said Date.

The case filed at the Federal High Court in Ado Ekiti, by a member of People's Democratic Party against the Match 7, 2020, Ward Congress of the Party (PDP)  in Ekiti State was heard today, as the judge allowed the plaintiff's motion to amend the originating summons dated May 19, 2020 and filed on May 20, 2020 on or before June 30th

The PDP Repositioning Movement had through Hon. Oladimeji Samson Olalekan sued the PDP, Independent National Electoral Commission, Inspector General of Police and others, seeking nullification of the March 7, 2020 Ward Congress.

The defendants had unsuccessfully failed to restrain the Court from hearing the suits on the motion filed to challenge the competent jurisdiction of the federal high Court.

The Judge Uche N. Agomoh promised to give a speedy hearing as it was unanimously agreed by the counsels to both litigant and defendants.
In lieu of this, the interlocutory injunction will not be in need.

The case stands adjourned to June 30th, 2020 for  applications to be decided on,  and July 3, 2020 for the hearing of substantive suits.
