The PDP has reacted to the reported proposed promotion of Ibrahim Magu, the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC by the Buhari government.

In a release signed by the party's Zonal Publicity Secretary, Chief Sanya Atofarati, the opposition party claims that the purported elevation of Magu to the rank of AIG would mean the end of anti-corruption war in Nigeria.

Recalled that Buhari came on board with a bogey of fighting corruption as his main election manifesto to deceive the uninformed Nigerians who saw Goodluck Jonathan as clueless President, but they can now spot the difference.

The story of Magus emergence as the EFCC boss was laden with so much illegality that the National Assembly rejected his name several times but Buhari in his Messianic wisdom insisted on Magu or nobody.

The same Magu at the end of his inglorious tenure was shown the way out in a most disgraceful manner having been used and dropped by his masters and despite his open indictment for corruption and abuse of office.
by the Justice Ayo Salami Presidential investigation panel.

We have said it again and again that the APC is  haven of corruption and the abode of corrupt politicians in our country.

This is why some of their chieftains openly and unashamedly declared that the party welcomes all and sundry especially indicted corrupt politicians to its fold as their sins would be forgiven.

But the case of indicted Magu was most unimaginable if after all the incriminating evidence of stealing and abuse of office levied against him by a competent judicial panel of inquiry should be swept under the carpet and instead, the accused former EFCC boss is poised to be garlanded with a top position in the Nigerian Police was to say the least, a reward for and ultimately the end of corruption war in this country under the APC led administration.
