The South West Coordinator of Amalgamated Atiku Support Groups, AASG, the umbrella body of all Support Groups for the former Vice President and the Presidential Candidate of PDP, His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Hon Akeem Adebomojo has declared that Atiku Support Groups in the south west zone alone will deliver over 2 million votes to Atiku and PDP in the 2023 presidential election.

Hon Adebomojo made this declaration in Ibadan last Wednesday during an interactive session with the executive members of the Oyo State Chapter of AASG and leaders of more than 50 support groups, in continuation of his official tour of the south west states.

Hon Adebomojo began his address by congratulating Atiku for his well-deserved emergence as the flagbearer of the PDP in the keenly contested party convention in Abuja. He affirmed that Atiku is the most qualified aspirant judging from his capacity, competence, prudence, integrity,  vast experience and impressive track record of achievements. Atiku's emergence, according to him, has sent shock waves into the APC camp and it is a signal to the eventual victory of the PDP at the 2023 polls. He assured that Support Groups will add additional 2million votes to complement total votes to be mobilized by Southwest People's Democratic Party.
The South West Zonal Coordinator brought a goodwill message from the Director-General of AASG, Hon Oladimeji Fabiyi who is in charge of all support groups and mobilization in the Atiku Presidential Campaign Organization, APCO.

The Zonal Coordinator also addressed the issues of strategy, mobilization and funding, to the satisfaction of those in attendance.

The Oyo State Coordinator of AASG, Hon James Obasa gave details of his mobilization efforts in collaboration with his executive members in the 33 local government areas of the state and the ongoing registration of all Atiku support groups in Oyo State. He reiterated that there's high morale among Atiku support groups in the state.

He also showered encomiums on the initiator of the group in the state, Hon Mrs Toyin Balogun for her sacrifices, painstaking and unwavering support for the chapter and its activities since inception.

Hon Obasa declared that Oyo AASG will mobilize votes throughout the state to ensure overwhelming victory for Gov Seyi Makinde and all other PDP candidates in the state for the 2023 general elections.
Finally, he sought the support and cooperation of the national leadership of AASG to achieve its goals of mobilizing voters and votes for Atiku in Oyo State.
Hon Adebomojo in his closing remarks promised to ensure that the AASG in Oyo State and other south west states chapters receive the needed support, motivation and materials from Atiku and the national leadership of AASG to carry out their assignments and activities.
