Group honours Ekiti Guber Aspirant, Dr. Sikiru Tae Lawal-- Ojaomonews

All roads led to the Goodness Event Hall, Along Agagu lane, Ondo Road, Akure, Ondo State, the venue for conferment of award of excellence on important dignitaries organised by a foremost Yoruba socio-political and pressure group, OPOMULERO last Tuesday.

The OPOMULERO Group has branches in all the Yoruba speaking States of Southwest, and as well, Kwara and Kogi States.

The epoch-making event which started at 12 noon saw people of timber and caliber in politics and business in attendance.

One of the awardees was the former deputy governor of Ekiti State and the Baba Adinni of Ekitiland, Dr. Sikiru Tae Lawal.

The award was presented to him by the Ondo State PDP Governorship Candidate in the last Governorship election, Barr Eyitayo Jegede (SAN).

According to the convener who doubled as the Director-General of OPOMULERO,  Hon. Olasunpo Olakunori and the Ekiti State Coordinator and youth leader of the group, Mr Rasheed Adewumi ( Omo Imam), Dr. Lawal was considered for the award because of his simplicity, humbleness, humility, love to transform peoples life for good, honesty, very trustworthy, frankness and that he is Omoluabi Ekiti per excellence.
In his acceptance speech, Dr. Lawal thanked the OPOMULERO Group for considering him for the award. While dedicating the award to the good people of Ekiti State, Dr. Lawal said that he joined the governorship race for the Ekiti 2022 purposely for the rebirth of Ekiti and its economy.
The Baba Adinni said he did not believe that Ekiti State is poor, saying that Ekiti needed a prudent, honest and a well focused manager.
He said if elected as governor of Ekiti State next year, he would bring his experience and expertise knowledge in human and material administration into work.

Present at the event were: Barr Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, who presented a brand new SIENNA car to the group; Prince Godday Erewa, a senatorial candidate in Ondo State who also donated the cash of N1.5M to the group;  Excellency, Dr. Sikiru Tai Lawal ably represented by his political associate;  Chief Oluomo Sesan Arowolo, a Dublin based politician;  Mr. Dotun Olorunyomi; Barr Festus Dabo; Hon.
