RE: PRESS STATEMENT ON NATIONAL PDP STAKEHOLDERS RESOLVE TO PROCEED WITH AN EARLY NATIONAL CONVENTION
OUR VIEWS
Ekiti South Agenda Management acknowledges the Press Statement dated Tuesday 10th August, 2021 on the above subject matter
We wish to appreciate, in particular, the pro-activeness of the PDP National Stakeholders for the peaceful resolution of what seems an intractable crisis, initially, against Prince Uche Secondus, the PDP Chairman National.
The nine-Point resolution has timely calmed down frailed nerves and assured all PDP Members, nation wide of great hope ahead, in the Party.
The meeting agreed, among other issues, after extensive deliberations with Stakeholders :
1. That the Constitution, traditions and practicebs of the Party be strictly adhered to, in finding solutions to any problems.
2. That all parties should sheath their sword, in the greater interest of the party and to rescue Nigeria from APC.
3. That all processes leading to an early National Convention, in October be immediately activated by relevant party Organs, especially National Executive Committee (NEC)
4. That the Party should redouble efforts to provide a credible alternative leadership for Nigeria, as it remains the only hope for good governance.
5. The meeting therefore requested the NEC to immediately constitutes a Zoning Committee for the Party Offices and another Committee for National Elective offices
6. The meeting expressed appreciation to Party Elders for their commitment and wisdom in handling Party Affairs.

We identify with all the decisions but we call attention of Ekiti State PDP Stakeholders to one salient and critical issue, in the resolution which of Paramount importance to Ekiti South agitation for governorship.
It is numbered 3e in the Original Press Statement & 5 in ours.
The National PDP Stakeholders, in one voice has reinstated his commitment to Zoning, as a National Policy as stated in the reference.
No State Chapter can waive, ignore or side track it. Equity, Justice and fairness is the very foundation on which PDP is built.
All Ekiti State PDP Stakeholders should please work towards Zoning the 2022 Governorship to Ekiti South.
It is a right after almost 24years.
