PDP to Lawan, Gbajabiamila - You have goofed'

The office of the Zonal Publicity Secretary of the PDP south west has reacted to the position of the leadership of the National Assembly condemning the unanimous resolution of 17 governors of the southern Nigeria calling for restructuring of the country.
The party in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Chief Sanya Atofarati berated the uninformed positions of the Senate President and the speaker of the House of Representatives respectfully where they openly cast aspersions on the governors "whose patriotic move was in sync with the opinions of generality of reasonable Nigerian populace'. The party stated.
"It a sad commentary that at this moment of grave national emergency, two individuals who are paid handsomely from Nigerian tax payers money should be up in arm against the wishes and aspirations of the Nigerian people all in the name of political expediency.
"We view with discomfort the shameful resort to buck passing by Lawan and Gbajabiamila calling on the governors to implement restructuring from their states before pointing accusing fingers on the Federal government.
"The duo have really goofed as they failed to address the pertinent question of restructuring which has made the governors mere appendages of the powerful center as a result of which no governor is in charge of the Nigerian Police"
"Rather than condemning the messangers, the ruling APC should have addressed the message loudly delivered by the governors and wide spectrum of Nigerian people. 'Do the needful, address the insecurity problem and stop the buck passing" The statement says.
