Senator Biodun Olujimi of Ekiti state has said her commitment towards the South Governorship Agenda is Absolute.

As the governorship election in Ekiti State draws close, political actors across the parties, have commenced the pre-primary arrangements as Aspirants are seen moving rounds, hold meetings to show interests in occupying the government house, "Oke-Ayoba", in the June 2023 Governorship election in the state.

The Ekiti State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), like many other political parties, was reportedly enmeshed in crisis culminating from the March 7 2019 Ward Congress held, which has since  factionalized party with several cases pending in courts.

Ahead of the next year's election, Aspirants from both camps loyal to Fmr Gov. Ayodele Fayose and Sen. Biodun Olujimi, respectively, could be vividly seen scheming to secure the party's ticket.

A source close to the Fmr Gov. Ayodele Fayose,  who crave anonymity, confirmed to Ojaomonews.com an alleged crack in the Fayose group over his choice of his former commissioner for environment, Bisi Kolawole for Governor. A decision he said has further divided the former Governor's group.

It was further gathered that Fayose's decision of Kolawole resulted to departure of , Wale Aribisala, the National treasurer of PDP and Prof. Kolapo Olusola Eleka, the Fmr deputy Governor of Ekiti State and Gubernatorial candidate of the party in the last election, to have parted ways with Fayose and his Osoko Political Assembly OPA, group.

Though, there was lot insinuationsand speculations that the Senator representing South Districtof the state, Mrs Biodun Olujimi may be secretly eyeing the number one seat, some people even believe she was alread making pacts with other Aspirants in the state. However, the Senator debunked the rumour on Wednesday, saying; "I have not entered into any pacts with any individual or groups."

Olujimi hinged her decision to support the South District Agenda on Justice, Equity and Fairplay.

She said, "I have, however informed all concerned, including addressing the Press on several occasions on my absolute commitment to the South Senatorial District Agenda for Governorship in 2022 because of the unjust and inequitable treatment of keeping a whole district from being Governor, for almost 24years. However, Whoever is to be elected  the Governor is for God to decide"

What seems unclear at the time of press is if the two-term Senator from the South District would be joining the race probably after the expected Oyinlola led Southwest reconciliation committee and the Saraki led National reconciliation committee reports are out.
