The National Ex-Officio of the PDP, Chief Adeola Ogunrinde, has said the former Governor of Ekiti state, Mr. Ayo Fayose is not ready for the 2022 Governorship elections, accusing Mr. Ladi Adebutu of deepening the cracks in the party.
Chief Ogunrinde, while speaking at the Ekiti North Constituency two meeting held at Ayetoro Ekiti today, said, it was regrettable that instead of capitalising on the inefficiency and maladministration that has characterised the All Progressives Congress, APC’s years in power, Mr. Oladipo Adebutu is deepening cracks in Ekiti PDP.
He explained that rather than focusing on strategies, on how to take advantage of the growing disenchantment with the APC government, Adebutu is sowing seed of discord among the Ekiti PDP Leaders.
The National PDP officer in Ekiti said because he and other repositioning leaders lacked the ability to defect to the APC or another political party, they would continue to do what they could to ensure the survival and repositioning of the PDP in the state.
“We will not allow anybody to kill PDP. They have the capacity to move to APC. We don’t and We cannot move to APC. So, anybody that tries to do anything that will destroy or have the traits to disorganize the party in the state will face the brutal judgement of God.
Whilst other leaders reacted, the iconic senator of Ekiti North, Sen. Duro Faseyi spoke with the congress men and women on phone, assuring them of resolving the crises rocking the party in the state and urge them to maintain their stand with the repositioning come rain, come sunshine.
The meeting has the record of the former state chairman of the PDP, Chief Idowu Faleye, Hon. Oladipo Ebenezer, Hon Ayo Oladimeji, Hon. Jackson Adebayo, Hon. Robinson Elewo amongst the 250 leaders with the gentle faces of the PDP National Delegates that graced the Ekiti North constituency two meeting.
The senator emphasized that he would not shirk its responsibilities as he knew that nothing good comes easily, he urged the good people of Ekiti to support the restructuring and make the struggle of better Ekiti PDP worthwhile.
