Obasanjo's Covid-19 Test Result Is Out. 

- The test was conducted on the former president in his Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library. 

The COVID-19 test result for former President Olusegun Obasanjo has been released just as he reacted to the death of ex-senator, Buruji Kashamu. It is negative. A statement by Kehinde Akinyemi, special assistant to Obasanjo on media, said the test was carried out on Friday, August 7, 2020. The test was done for him at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) Pent House residence, Okemosan, Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun state.

"The laboratory is one of the accredited laboratories approved by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) to conduct the crucial COVID-19 test on both asymptomatic and symptomatic Nigerians," the statement said. Obasanjo undergoing a COVID-19 test and the result came out negative 

Legit.ng had reported that Nigeria's former president Obasanjo, on Saturday, August 8, sent a condolence letter to the governor of Ogun state, Dapo Abiodun, over the death of Senator Buruji Kashamu. In the letter dated Saturday, August 8, the former president described Kashamu's death an "irreparable loss" The letter reads in part: "I received the sad news of the demise of Senator Esho Jinadu (Buruji Kashamu) a significant citizen of Ogun State.
