Mr David Omowumi popular known as Ojo Paami hailed from Ogotun-Ekiti in Ekiti South West Local Government area of Ekiti State. His elementary education was started and completed in Ogotun-Ekiti, his country home.
In the year 2014 he participated in the 72RRI and joined Nigeria Army. This young man was at tender age when he decided to serve, fight and rescue his father land from the terrorists to make Nigeria a safe place for all.
Mr David Omowumi was a reliable, responsible, trustworthy and professional in his profession. He was friendly and humble but always gallant and at alert.
The young man met his soul mate miss kehinde Iretiola and both of them decided to tie the knot on March 28th, 2020. They legally became husband and wife. He spent his honeymoon in his hometown, Ogotun-Ekiti, at this very time the federal government of Nigeria pronounced compulsory lockdown, there was no inter-state movement. But the nature of his job and his penchant for the job, he couldn’t felt comfortable, he found every means to get back to Borno state (Maiduguri precisely).
Mr David Omowumi fought very hard to safe the nation and to uphold the voice “ONE NIGERIA”.
On a fateful day, at the early hour of August 14th, 2020. The enemy of the nation, the terrors of the northwestern part of Nigeria bombarded the area he was, David Omowumi, a reliable and dedicated gallant soldier roared like a lion and fought very hard but sacrificed his soul for the national growth and existence of his father-Land “NIGERIA”.
He left his wife and the unborn child, he left his father and mother, all for the unity and safety of the nation.
This fallen Hero must not go down like that, it’s imperative to secure a better future for the unborn child and to let his wife live a convenient life.
