Ekiti PDP Condemned Fayose's Action, In Creating Unwarranted Chaos Across The LGs.
Jackson Adebayo, Ado-Ekiti.
The Peoples Democratic Party in Ekiti state has described the purported collation of executive committee members/video recording in the wards by a group associated with the former governor of the state, Dr Ayo Fayose as another ploy to desterbilise the party in the state.
The party noted that collating ward executives/video recording before the congress of the party is a landmine purposely planted by the former governor to create unwarranted chaos across the local government areas in the state so that the congress could be marred by violence.
In a statement by the party's Publicity Secretary in the state, Mr Jackson Adebayo, the party maintained that any leader of the party engaging in collation of names for a congress that is billed to take place in March by now is only creating an avenue for avoidable suspicion and acrimony.
The party said that while all members are waiting for the day of the congress to choose those who will run the affair of the party for the next four years, the Fayose - group are busy publishing adoption of candidates in different wards and local government to confuse members why some even innocently believe that such adoption was the congress in the real sence.
The party appeals to the group engaging in this shenanigan to desist in order to create an atmosphere of free and credible congress of the party in the state.
The party equally called on all members to disregard all the groups adoptions, saying that all members of the party who are interested in one position or the others are free to contest in the coming state congress which will start at the ward level on March 7th, 2020.
